Our mission is simple: better education through honest feedback that every student can afford.
A close reading of a draft has mostly gone to students who could pay for one. With a private tutor, someone goes through your argument line by line weeks before it counts. Without one, that reading waits for a meeting with your advisor or for your committee.
Esmond's founder worked on this for years from inside the education system. AI made it possible to work on it from the outside: a full capstone project or thesis can now be read closely at a price a student can pay, at whatever hour you happen to finish a draft. AI is also part of most workplaces already, and students will run into it there. The habit we want to encourage: do the work yourself, then ask for a critical reading of it.
That is why Esmond doesn't write anything. It points out factual errors, blind spots and claims your evidence can't support, and it asks what you want to do about them. The thinking and the revising stay with you, and you remain the author.
Your advisor and your committee make the final decision. Esmond gives no grade and no score. It shows where a careful reader is likely to stop and ask a question, on a sophomore term paper as much as on a senior capstone.
Esmond leaves some things out. It doesn't check spelling, doesn't look for plagiarism or AI-generated text and doesn't comment on word limits or deadlines. Some courses don't allow any AI tools; Can I use Esmond? says what to do then.
We also try to be careful with your paper. We use it to produce your review and don't train AI on it. Within the 90 days we keep it, we may also analyze a version without your name and contact details to improve our method; you can object by email. We delete it on a fixed schedule. How Esmond works has the details, and Who is behind Esmond? tells you who answers for all of this.
Esmond is not taking orders on this site yet.
